Verification Engineer
Department: Engineering
Overall Responsibility
Testing hardware and software for communication products. These systems comprise voice, data, fax, aeronautical handsets, and PBX functionality.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Analyze project requirements to form test objectives
- Setup and maintenance of test beds
- Write test plans for products that include hardware and software
- Perform tests and produce detailed test reports
- Troubleshooting of problems found and ability to communicate results to developers
- Write clear problem reports in bug tracking system
- Validation of end user documentation
Qualifications
- BS in engineering discipline
- 2+ years related work experience
- Software Test Engineer qualifications
- Experience with hardware testing
- Must be comfortable testing both hardware and software
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and problem tracking applications
- Ability to communicate technical information with engineering and customer support staff
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Knowledge of product verification methodologies
