Requirements

Our client has an immediate opening for a Chief Information Officer to lead and oversee the information and technology strategy.  Relying on the policy and programmatic goals identified by the executive committee and key employees of of our client, the CIO will develop technology strategies that facilitate the achievement of those goals.  The CIO is a key member of the Client’s Management Team and will work as a strategic partner with the various business units in establishing IT governance mechanisms and methods to jointly identify technology solutions that enable the business units to fulfill strategic goals.  The CIO will outline, develop and support all the business units’ technology needs.  The ideal candidate will implement a rigorous process for planning, managing and maintaining new and existing technology infrastructure. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinates with executive team and key business managers to define business and operational needs that can be maximized and leveraged using IT infrastructure and systems. 

• Establishes and maintains policies, processes, and procedures to meet or exceed the operational requirements of the businesses. 

• Develops, manages and mentors a small team of IT professionals to support operations and new technology implementation.

• Develops plans to identify information technology applications to support business plans or create new strategic options.

• Plans and controls acquisition of IT hardware, software, and facilities to assure that they are consistent with and supportive of the business plans of the company.

• Directs the design, development and maintenance of systems and software programs to meet the needs of the company.

• Negotiates SLAs (service level agreements) with network and telecommunications providers and implements proper incentives and penalties to ensure compliance with SLAs.

• Administers and controls the information technology budget assuring a cost effective operation.

• Acquires knowledge of developments in the area of systems and hardware to assure relevant new developments are incorporated in future systems of the company.

• Assures the availability, continuity, and security of all data and IT systems

• Provides excellent support services and demonstrates the ability to communicate technical information to the end user community

• Takes responsibility for and ownership of the efficient operation of all IT systems and solutions


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• B.S. in computer science, engineering or related technical discipline. Master’s preferred.

• 10 years experience in managing enterprise information systems and personnel.

• Experience with both IT operations and new technology implementation

• Outstanding leadership ability/ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient project management skills/ Ability to keep abreast of new technologies.
