RemX Scientific is seeking a post doc to support daily operations of manufacturing, troubleshoot operation deviations, perform cross-functional root cause investigations, design and execute robustness-improvement projects, and evaluate and implement new technologies for commercial cell culture manufacturing. The candidates will support and contribute to the development of robust cell culture processes for making therapeutic proteins in mammalian cell culture. He/she will work as part of a team to execute process robustness improvement projects. Responsibilities include running scale up roller bottle experiments, operating small scale cell culture bioreactors, collecting harvests, carrying out ultrafiltration operations, and working with Process Sciences and Manufacturing staff on samples and data analysis. The candidates will then help develop and test new hypotheses to improve our fundamental understanding of key product quality issues. These positions will require collaborations and interactions with colleagues across departmental lines.
Requirements:
B.S. or M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or related field. · Hands-on cell culture experience, comfortable working with a variety of cell culture/fermentation technologies, from fermenter operation to filtration, concentration to freezing. Strong GMP background a plus; · Project execution and project management experience a plus; · Must have effective verbal and technical writing skills for communicating technical results to non-experts · Prepares reports of an analytical and interpretative nature. · Ability to work as part of a team; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · knowledge of and proficiency with personal computers and applicable software packages (Microsoft Word, Excel)
